Atilio Butturi Junior has a PhD in linguistics (UFSC, 2012) and held postdoctoral internships at the Institute of Language Studies at the University of Campinas (2014-2015, supervised by Dr. Kanavillil Rajagopalan) and NOVA University Lisbon (2017-2018, with a CAPES scholarship, supervised by Dr. José Luís Toivola Câmara Leme). He is currently a professor at UFSC, where he coordinates the graduate program in linguistics.
